Before getting into the what and why, you need to know how to get the Destiny 2 Keep Out challenge. Luckily, it is a nice and easy challenge to pick up from one of the vendors on The Tower. Once you've spawned into The Tower head over to the west side of the social hub and meet with the Clan Steward, Suraya Hawthorne.

Hawthorne offers up clan bounties, raid consumables and weekly raid challenges. This week, the Destiny 2 Keep Out challenge is on offer for 1000 glimmer and will reward players with a legendary item.

In typical Destiny 2 fashion, the Keep Out challenge only tells players to "complete the Keep Out challenge". In actuality, you are required to pull off a very specific request in the Last Wish raid. In the raid, which can be found in the Dreaming City, you must take out all of the Might of Riven knights before they cross over the barrier into the central chamber during the vault fight.

This might sound simple enough, but the Destiny 2 Keep Out challenge has a reputation as one of the tougher raid challenges whenever it comes around. So be prepared for a solid fight.

Since the Destiny 2 Keep Out challenge is a part of the Last Wish raid, which required six players. You can now take part in matchmaking for raids, however, the Keep Out challenge will likely require a decent bit of coordination, so if you can play with your own team, you should.

Before getting in the game though, you want to be sure you are equipped with some high damage weapons. The Might of Riven Knights are tough enemies to take down, so shotguns, rocket launchers, and fusion rifles are needed. Additionally, your super should be the high damage hits such as Nova Bomb, Fists of Havoc or Blade Barrage - essential quick high damage

The difficult bit of the Destiny 2 Keep Out challenge is that the Knights cannot pass through into the central chamber and they can come from any angle. If just one makes it through, then the challenge cannot be completed on that run, and the Knights have habit of bombing is straight for the barrier.  You'll need to split the team up, placing three members within the chambers before you pick up the buff - commencing the fight and raising the barriers. Covering every angle, you must keep up comms as you focus fire on each of the Knights.

An incredibly useful and effective exotic weapon you'll want to bring with you is the Tractor Cannon. This exotic shotgun isn't the best for damage, but it makes up for it with its suppression abilities. With the Tractor Cannon you can blast enemies away, slow them down, and make them vulnerable to incoming fire - which importantly stops the Knights from charging the central chamber. It is likely that you'll fail the first couple of times, but once you get into a rhythm the challenge becomes a lot more manageable.

If you stick together, communicate and equip a high-damage build, you should be able to eventually complete the Destiny 2 Keep Out challenge. If you need some better weaponry but don't have the currency, check out our guide on how to earn Destiny 2 legendary shards.
