Trailers

The first trailer for Alone in the Dark was the official reveal trailer that launched on August 12, 2022. It featured a mix of cutscenes and gameplay without UI elements, setting up the tone, atmosphere, setting, and look of the game.

A notable part of the trailer was the doom jazz soundtrack in the background, which slowly grew in noise and became more unstable as the trailer went on, crescendoing during the scenes of combat.

The most recent trailer was the Alone in the Dark spotlight, which was an 11-minute showcase of the game with interviews from developers, the original game's creator, the composer, and the actors.

This one gave us much more insight into Alone in the Dark and also focused on showing it off as a survival horror experience foremost.

Alone in the Dark is a third-person survival horror game set in a bayou mansion in the Deep South during the 1920s.

The game has two playable protagonists that will change how you experience the story and gameplay throughout, who are called Emily and Edward. Edward is a private investigator who's employed by Emily after her uncle goes missing, leading them both to the Decerto mansion to explore the mysterious place and uncover its secrets.

As a survival horror, the game has a focus on puzzle solving, exploration, resource management, and combat. Combat pits you against the many monsters and horrifying creatures occupying the mansion and its surrounding grounds, allowing you to use firearms, melee weapons, and throwables like glass bottles.
