We are all patiently awaiting the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but what can we do in the meantime? Star Wars Jedi: Survivor brings a new level of action-adventure to the franchise, but there are many games like it that scratch a similar itch. Below is a list of games we highly recommend in general, but especially while waiting for this game. Here are 6 games to play like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

6 - Uncharted

Jedi: Survivor and its predecessor draw inspiration from many sources, and a lot of influence from the Uncharted series can be seen in these games. While the style of action is very different between the two franchises, the adventure aspects are very similar.

If the part of Jedi: Survivor that has you most excited is the jumping, climbing, and exploring, then you could probably do with playing or replaying Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. The last and the greatest entry in the Uncharted series, it has all the adventure you could hope for.

5 - Sekiro Shadows Die Twice

If the other side of the coin is more your thing, and the action of Jedi: Survivor is what you're jonesing for, then you should probably check out Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. While it is clear that Jedi: Survivor and the previous game take heavy inspiration from the games of Fromsoftware for their combat, arguably the most similar game is Sekiro.

This tale of samurai and ninjas has a lot in common with Jedi: Survivor. You play as a swordsman, cast out and seeking revenge. The combat is quick, and based largely on timing your strikes. If you played Jedi: Fallen Order on the hardest difficulty and found it a fun challenge, then Sekiro should be the next game on your list.

4 - Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Outcast

Before Jedi: Fallen Order, there was a long drought of games that let us swing a lightsaber. For the longest time, the gold standard in this category was Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. The game was famous for being an action game that gave players the powers of a Jedi, and the power of swinging a lightsaber.

It might be over two decades old now, but Jedi Knight 2 is still among the greatest Star Wars games of all time. If you have not gone back to it, you owe it to yourself. The game is still available through Steam and through backward compatibility on modern consoles.

3 - Tomb Raider

The original 3D action-adventure franchise, for the longest time you couldn't make a game like Jedi: Survivor without drawing comparisons to Lara Croft's adventures. It has been a minute since there has been a new Tomb Raider game, but the most recent trilogy still waves the flag well.

If you have a lot of time to invest, the full trilogy is an excellent series to marathon your way through. If you only have room for one game in your life right now, then go with the first one. Tomb Raider (2013) is one of the best games of the last decade, and it is hard to imagine these new Star Wars games existing without them.

2 - Elden Ring

The comparisons between Fromsoftware games and the Jedi: Fallen Order/Jedi: Survivor games have often dominated the discussion about the games, with many regressively referring to Fallen Order as "Dark Souls with lightsabers".

While the Star Wars games from Respawn Entertainment absolutely have an identity of their own, it does stand to reason that fans of these games are likely to find enjoyment in a game like Elden Ring.

The biggest barrier to entry might be the difficulty, but of all of Fromsoftware's games, Elden Ring is arguably the most approachable. The freedom to explore and do things at your own pace gives the game a much more gradual difficulty curb, making this a game that all fans can enjoy.

If what you are looking for isn't a game that plays like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but rather another great Star Wars game, then you really need to go back to the classics. There are many to choose from, but arguably no Star Wars game left more of a mark than Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

This Bioware RPG from 2003 has aged like a fine wine, and is often regarded as one of the best stories in the Star Wars universe. The gameplay is a dramatic shift away from anything in Jedi: Survivor, but this game is a must-play for Star Wars fans.

The original game is available on most modern systems, either through rereleases or backward compatibility. If the older graphics and gameplay are too much for you, there is a planned remake of the game coming to PlayStation 5, but when that is coming is still unknown.
