If you were hoping to try out the over-powered Ray Gun in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies, then I'm afraid you might be a bit too late to the party, as it appears that Treyarch has already nerfed the ever-loved Wonder Weapon.

One Reddit User informed the rest of the Call of Duty fandom about the Nerf after popular CoD streamer Sulky appeared to confirm the weapon's nerf. Sulky's tweet read: "They nerfed the Raygun already... Ammo count reduced from 40/240 > 40/160 Triple PaP'd Damage reduced from 24000 > 8000 Probably a nerf that was needed but it ruined a cool strat I was working on."

Players took to the comments to voice their disdain over the nerf, with one user stating: "Sooooo stupid. The raygun is what I was looking forward to the most. If they don't have a god-tier gun then everything is gonna feel like mush," while another angrily commented: "Why did they nerf it man, noahj456 basically had a 5-hour stream talking about how they need to buff all the other guns and not nerf the ray gun, like dude it's literally the highest rarity gun in the game now it does as much damage as a wall buy,"

Others pointed out that they believe developers should focus on nerfing the Megaton bosses, rather than the elemental weapons. Don't worry though, the Ray Gun is still pretty solid when it comes to powering through a train of zombies.

While the majority of players have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with the latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise, complaints have been mounting over the game's loading times and clear bugs. A little tip, don't try and load the Leaderboard until you see a new update - it's crashing consoles left, right and centre.
