Xbox's Director of Program Management has confirmed that new games are coming this year - but they haven't even been announced yet.

In an interview with the Iron Lords Podcast, Jason Ronald said that there are still 'multiple' games releasing this year on Xbox that haven't been shown at all. When asked about what he was most excited for this year, he said: "Not all games that are releasing this year have been announced."

Obviously we have no idea what these games are, whether they're big titles or smaller ones, but it's definitely worth getting excited over. Even just for something to look forward to.

He then added: "I’ve seen lots of things internally that I’m very excited for everybody to see later this year." Why's he doing this to us?! We just want to know!

Xbox has had quite a bit of exciting news recently, with the recent acquisition of Bethesda also being a cause for celebration. The eye-watering $7.5 billion deal was for Bethesda's parent company, ZeniMax. We also found out that "some" Bethesda games will be Xbox exclusives.

With Xbox now holding the rights to everything from The Elder Scrolls to Fallout, its number of FPS games has now been increased to an impressive 23.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer explained: "This is the next step in building an industry-leading first party studios team, a commitment we have to our Xbox community". He continued: "With the addition of the Bethesda creative teams, gamers should know that Xbox consoles, PC, and Game Pass will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games, including some new titles in the future that will be exclusive to Xbox and PC players".

Bethesda Marketing Chief Pete Hines said in a blog post that the transition will be a gradual one. "First, let me say that we’re not making any landmark announcements or changes right now", said Hines. "As we’ve all shared, the expectation is that Bethesda Softworks and our studios will continue as we have in the past, just with more support and resources than we’ve ever had before. Obviously, Game Pass has been an important initiative for Xbox, and we’ll be working on putting even more of our games into Game Pass than ever before. Beyond that? Stay tuned, we’re just getting started together".
