The Call of Duty Vanguard rumour mill has been heating up this week as we've learned it reportedly will contain Nazi imagery, Treyarch is working on the Zombies mode, and we even saw the first Vanguard teaser trailer. The latest news coming out of Verdansk however, is that the in-game Warzone event will feature PvE gameplay, as opposed to the usual PvP action.

For those of you who don't know, PvE stands for Player vs Environment. This essentially means that you won't be fighting other players, because that would be PvP: Player vs Player. "Environment" is a vague term in this case though, because it could mean anything from incoming WWII soldiers who have been transported to the future in Verdansk, to the previous zombies event, or something else entirely.

Those zombies we saw when Verdansk was taken back in time was the first PvE event in Warzone, which means this isn't completely out of the ordinary for the hit battle royale. Since this is a reveal event for the next title in the prestigious franchise though, expect things to pop off. This will undoubtedly be on a scale like we've never seen before.

Going by the fictional propaganda posters tweeted out by the official Call of Duty account, we'd recommend you get some pals online to take on the event with. Each one mentions something about your team or squadding up, so taking it on solo seems like a poor idea.

You can find the Warzone reveal event for Call of Duty Vanguard in-game via the Care Package event, which kicks off at 10:30am PT/1:30pm ET/6:30pm BST tomorrow, August 19. If you needed any more motivation for jumping into the event, you can also win some sweet rewards. Who knows what the PvE element will be, but as long as it's not zombies again, everybody wins.
