Warzone Update Adds Private Battle Royale Matches
In the midst of the chaos, Warzone has received an enthralling drop, introducing that long-awaited Private Matches.
As Activision prepare for the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, an update was released in the current Modern Warfare and Warzone, which is preparing for the three-way integration system between all three spokes of the wheel.
Inside the update was the introduction of a separate gunsmith option for both Warzone and Modern Warfare, multiple bug fixes, and just the small matter of being able to host Private Warzone Matches.
The private matches are hosted on one server and require a minimum number of players, varying depending on which game mode is being played.
The minimum number of players required are as follows:
- Standard Battle Royale - 50 players
- Plunder Battle Royale - 30 players
- Mini Battle Royale - 25 players
For the first time in Warzone history, players in the public will be able to jump into one lobby full of familiar faces and fight it out to be the last team standing. The private matches can host multiple team sizes too, ranging from solos to quads.
Private Warzone Matches have been in speculation since the Call of Duty League hosted all 12 teams in the "Warzone Weekend" series which lasted for ten weeks. It pitted the likes of Chicago Huntsmen and Atlanta FaZe against each other in a range of game modes. With a total prize pool of $100,000 up for grabs, the likes of Paris Legion came out as victors in quads, and Raymond "Rambo" Lussier was able to rack up two kills with just two damage dealt on his way to winning solos.
Now, players in the wider public will be able to go up against their friends, enemies, and new foes. So, grab your squad and get involved with the community to become the kings and queens of Verdansk.
