Tiny Tina's Wonderlands was something of a dark horse. The fantasy-based Borderlands spin-off wasn't much to those who didn't care for the mythos of the game, but for those it meant something to, the title was a huge deal.

It was a spin-off that embraced Tiny Tina's mania to such a degree that it overtook the atmosphere of Borderlands and became a slipshod, chaotic, adventure for the ages. Only those who were in on it understood, but now, it's become clear that the barmy adventure isn't over yet.

Is There A Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Sequel?

It looks like Gearbox is getting ready to bring the people more Tiny Tina, because a new in-house meeting has indicated that a sequel is on the way. Speaking with members of Embracer Group, (who own the Borderlands series) Gearbox's CEO Randy Pitchford has implied that there is a bold future for Tiny Tina.

"Gearbox Software achieved a major victory this past year with the launch of the new franchise Tiny Tina's Wonderlands," Pitchford says. "Wonderlands shattered all of our target expectations, both critically and commercially, and I'm thrilled that, in addition to great financial rewards from this victory that will be coming our way in the coming quarters, we have established a firm beachhead.

Explaining what Tina's bright future holds, Pitchford added, "We now clearly have a new franchise on our hands, with future experiences already under development at Gearbox." Of course, this doesn't stand as an active confirmation - but to refer to the game as a "new franchise" certainly indicates that they see a bright future for Tina and her D&D-alike adventures.

The Team For Wonderlands Is Big Enough For The Sequel

Gearbox's head seems ready to go on a new Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, and it sounds like the team has the numbers to make the most of it. June 2022 saw Gearbox acquire Lost Boys Interactive, the co-development team behind Wonderlands, and it has bumped the Gearbox staff numbers up by around 220 people - making the headcount for Gearbox across the world around 1,300.

So it's safe to say that the team has the manpower for a sequel, we're just going to have to wait for it to show up. We're counting down the days already, and whether you love or loathe that pint-sized annoyance, Tiny Tina is ready to roll the dice all over again.
