For nostalgia-loving gamers the world over, the news that Streets of Rage 4 will be released on April 30th 2020 was welcome news in the midst of a pandemic.

Publisher Dotemu and developers Lizardcube & Guard Crush Games today revealed the Streets of Rage 4 was official and would be an all-new continuation of SEGA’s iconic arcade brawler series from the 90s.

THE NOSTALGIA

Those of us of a certain age will remember button-mashing the night away on Streets of Rage 1, 2 & 3 in the 90s fondly, and the news that we'll soon be able to enjoy SOR again is just the thing to raise all of our spirits in this uncertain time. The game takes places around a decade after the events of Streets of Rage 3.

THE MUSIC

The music of Streets of Rage was one of it's defining factors in the fighting game genre, the pumping retro 90s club music was the perfect background to bashing and smashing. Fans will be delighted to find out that composer Olivier Deriviere is once again going to provide the soundtrack for this epic comeback.

PLATFORMS

SOR4 will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PC & Nintendo Switch, featuring 2 players online co-op, 4 player local, and a story, arcade, and battle mode!
