Between your lighting, your desk, your chair, and your console or PC, it’d be understandable to neglect the importance of a footrest in your gaming setup.

And yet, having a sturdy place to perch your feet can help aid comfort, and circulation, and potentially help you play better, too.

Secretlab, a company that needs no introduction at this point thanks to their excellent range of chairs and desks, are making a play for the space under your desk too with a new range of footrests.

Secretlab reveals new footrest range

Secretlab’s footrests come in two versions – the Secretlab Professional Footrest and the Secretlab Premium Footrest.

Which footrest is right for you?

We’ve been testing the Premium version and have found a huge difference in comfort when sat at a desk for long periods, with the Plushcell Memory Foam particularly comfortable while still remaining furm thanks to the cold-cure foam inside the body.

Better yet, there are two Footrest Tops coming for the Professional variant, with one made of memory foam to provide a more cushioned base for longer gaming sessions, and another offering a heated topper to keep you warm. That’s likely to be super helpful if, like me, your gaming setup is in an external room like a garage.

The company says that having a footrest increases leg movement throughout the day, preventing strain on joints and resulting aches.

From our testing, it's hard to disagree - when spending a long time at my PC, being able to flex my foot across the angle of the footrest has been a godsend. It looks great, too -- subtle enough to blend in, but good-looking enough to where it matches your setup, and that'll be even more true if you have a Secretlab desk, too.
