Riot Games has treated League Of Legends player and streamer Tyler "tyler1" Steinkamp with some awesome gifts to celebrate his achievement in reaching Challenger maining in all five roles.
As one of the most renowned League Of Legends players, tyler1 has made no secret of his love for the game and has certainly enjoyed a lot of success with the online multiplayer. Not only did he lead his very own Championship series in 2020, but he was one of the esports organisation T1’s most popular players until he left in February 2022.
Now, after tyler1 hit one of the biggest achievements possible in LoL, Riot Games gave the streamer a pat on the back and sent him a brilliant congratulatory gift.
Why Did Tyler1 Receive A Gift From Riot Games?
On February 18, tyler1 was doing a Twitch livestream playthrough of League Of Legends when he finally completed his two-year mission to main as a Challenger in all five roles of the game. In doing so, he seemingly became only the second person ever to achieve the feat alongside Swedish pro player Felix “MagiFelix” Boström, who completed the mammoth task back in 2020.
The 26-year-old screamed with delight at the precise moment he hit the top rank as a support, all captured live on stream. Riot Games then took to the LoL Twitter page to send a congratulatory message to the streamer for completing the gauntlet. In the tweet, Riot Games said: “IT'S OFFICIAL, loltyler1 IS BUILT DIFFERENT! Huge congrats for hitting Challenger on all 5 roles! Oh and keep an eye on your mail, Tyler. We've got a little something coming your way to commemorate this incredible achievement!”

What Did Riot Games Send tyler1 As A Congratulatory Gift?
As promised, Riot Games sent over a fantastic gift to tyler1 to celebrate his impressive victory. In the bundle, tyler1 received five epic custom-made medals, each with the Challenger rank icon and a ribbon for the five different ranks he completed: toplaner, midlaner, jungler, botlaner, and support. Unsurprisingly, tyler1 was blown away by the gift as he opened up the medals during his stream on February 22.
Riot Games revealed via Twitter that the medals were created by Chad & Sammy Hoku. If you’re wondering how Riot was able to get the medals out so quickly, the company’s Influencer Manager, Mel Capperino-Garcia, revealed the process began way back when tyler1 hit Challenger in top lane in June 2021.
However, tyler1 isn’t the only one making LoL history in recent times. Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu has also smashed records in becoming the first-ever LoL millennial, proving that over ten years since its release there is still plenty to accomplish in Riot's MOBA.
