Raven Software Dishes Out Another 30,000 Warzone Bans To Cheaters
Whilst Zombies have begun to spread throughout Verdansk by taking over the Prison with their groans and shredded limbs, the real Call of Duty war has been focused on a wider problem, and weirdly, it's not against each other in the true nature of a battle royale.
For months, the real fight has united the majority of the player base as all weapons are pointed in the direction of hackers and cheaters, with Raven Software leading the charge. Akin to the effects of Iron Man on Thanos' army, Raven Software has clicked their fingers and erased another whopping 30,000 cheaters from Verdansk.
After Raven took to social media to tweet that another wave of bans was incoming, Activision has since confirmed that the total number banned was north of 30,000, which takes the grand total to over 100,000 bans since the turn of the year.
Whilst the number seems insurmountable and the war looks to be tipping in the favour of the normal gamer, these bans aren't necessarily putting a huge halt to the hackers' progression.
With a full anti-cheat software reportedly in the making by Activision, more cheats have begun to surface, including one on the most prominent site whose status sits at "undetected" (nice try, I'm not telling you which site, we don't need any more of you...).
Whilst the cheaters' accounts may be wiped from Warzone servers to never be seen again, many of the hacks purchased by the slimy players are easily uploaded to another account, meaning they'll just have to start fresh with the same capabilities - bad news for the lower-ranked players in the SBMM proceedings, who will feel the full effect of this in comparison to those at the top of the tree.
For now, though, Raven's charge is valiant, squashing and disheartening the hackers whilst attempting to clean up the streets, so we can get back to slaying zombies in the Gulag in peace. Keep fighting the good fight, devs.
