PUBG Mobile 1.3 Update: Karakin Map, Sticky Bomb, Motor Glider, And More
The PUBG Mobile 1.3 update is just around the corner, and is expected to release in the mid of March 2021. The release date is yet to be announced officially and will be available to download from your device's app store.
However, PUBG Mobile 1.3 update has entered the beta testing phase and has added a bunch of new features to the game, including a new classic map - Karakin, which was seen earlier in the PUBG (on PC), along with new mechanics, including Demolition Zone and Thin Wall Bullet Penetration. Here are the complete details:
New Classic Mode Map - Karakin
Karakin is a dry and open map filled with rocks and is located on the coast of North Africa and stretches over two square kilometres. It is a small and thrilling map that combines Miramar's tension with Sanhok's fast-paced gameplay, and a maximum of 64 players can participate in each match. Players will experience long-ranged rifle battles in the mountains, city battles on this map that require strategy, and tension-filled battles in the dark underground.
New Mechanic: Demolition Zone
The Demolition Zone can instantly turn Karakin's buildings to ashes and was designed to make players leave their buildings. It causes random damage to buildings and may even completely destroy them and everything in it. The process of buildings turning into ruins happens in real-time during the match, and even during the late game, buildings here may still disappear at any time. If you find yourself in a purple area on the mini-map when the alarm sounds, escape immediately!
New Mechanic: Thin Wall Bullet Penetration
To make the indoor fighting more fun, bullet penetration to thin walls in Karakin is added. If you find an enemy hiding behind a damaged wall, you can choose to engage immediately or retreat temporarily and wait for the support of your teammates.
New Throwable: Sticky Bomb
In order to create more variables for players who stay in the same area for a long time, Sticky Bombs have been added to Karakin that can stick to walls and blow them up. After blowing them up, the broken buildings will provide more shooting angles for defending players to crouch behind.
New Firearm: Panzerfaust
The Panzerfaust will spawn around Karakin at low rates and is a fixed drop from airdrops and uses rockets that explode on-hit. It deals damage to targets within 6m of the impact point, and like Sticky Bombs, the Panzerfaust can be used to destroy specific walls in Karakin.
New Firearm: Mosin Nagant Sniper Rifle
The Mosin Nagant will only spawn on Erangel and Vikendi and is a 7.62mm bolt-action sniper rifle as powerful as the Kar98K, but its bullets fly faster and lose less damage over distance. It can eliminate an unarmored target with a single shot from long distances.
New Vehicle: Motor Glider
The Motor Glider will randomly spawn around Erangel, Miramar, and is a two-person-vehicle that consists of a front seat for the driver and a back seat where players can use weapons as they please. To take off, the Motor Glider must gain enough speed, and then the driver must press the up button to raise the nose.
New Arena Map: Code-C
The new Arena Map, Code-C, is a small-sized map with staggered passages suited for extremely fast-paced play. This map is especially suitable for players who like to participate in fierce battles, and it has enough space to use rifles, SMGs, and sniper rifles.
