Phil Spencer teases Kojima’s mysterious Xbox game

Xbox seems to be holding all of the cards right now. As we near the finish line for Microsoft's purchase of Activision Blizzard, a huge win is about to come to the Green Team. Couple this with the overwhelming success of Starfield means it's another reason Xbox is clawing back in 2023.
As we all know, Phil Spencer is more than happy to tease that a project is coming to the console from the last auteur of the video game space. In case you'd forgotten, that includes Hideo Kojima's mysterious Xbox-exclusive title.
Phil Spencer teases Hideo Kojima's Xbox project

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has offered us a little peek behind the curtain at whatever it is that Hideo Kojima is developing for the console. During an interview with Game Watch, Spencer said, "I think the project is going well," adding that the company is benefitting from its time "out of the spotlight" in order to refine its creative vision.
The mystery outing from Kojima Productions is still being kept pretty firmly under wraps, as Spencer seemingly refuses to offer any more insight. Much like Microsoft's approach to Redfall (that many would argue was its downfall,) Xbox is clearly taking a hands-off approach to the development of Kojima’s latest work.
Spencer's approach allows Kojima and his team to take all the time they need to make the project work. It's nice that Xbox is doing this, as even though it can lead to some troubled development when working with industry veterans like Kojima, it's undoubtedly the best decision.
When can we expect to see Kojima's Xbox project?

As of right now, we have no idea when we can expect whatever it is that Kojima is working on - hell, we could probably do with knowing what exactly the project is before we can start speculating on when we can expect it.
If we were being generous, we'd hope for a reveal of the project early next year, given that Kojima Productions is already pretty busy working on Death Stranding 2. Whatever it is Kojima is doing, we know we're up for it - even if it's as barmy as we know Kojima is capable of.
