With Overwatch 2's meta in a frenzy, amid nerfs to Ashe, buffs to Brigitte, and a new hero in the midst, one long-time tank has been neglected.

Tanks have been having quite a rough transition to Overwatch 2 too, given the shift to 5v5 gameplay has seen them much more isolated. All the while, the likes of Junker Queen, Ramattra, Wrecking Ball, and Winston have suffered.

In the middle of the pack lies Sigma, who has been able to use his rather aggressive ranged kit and keep enemies at bay but hasn't yet become a force to be reckoned with.

With a gap in the market for Blizzard Entertainment to really toy with a strong tank, fans have now demanded that his kit be overhauled, especially in the passive ability category.

Overwatch 2 players demand Sigma buffs

According to evidence from Reddit user u/AjAce28, Sigma still doesn't have the tank role passive ability that reduces the knockback received, meaning he can be wiped off the arena with one hefty shove.

Despite the passive being listed in his ability pool in-game, there's proof that the gravity-defying hero does not receive a knockback reduction, making him a vulnerable victim against aggressive pushers.

"[He] definitely should have the passive. The dude controls gravity. He could turn himself into an unmovable object lore-wise if he wanted to," one fan pointed out.

If Sigma finally receives the tank passive ability in his kit, he could once again be quite a threat to the hero pool. He'd be more effective against close-range opponents and would be able to stay in the fight much easier, helping friends evade damage.

Currently sitting as the fifth most-picked tank behind Reinhardt, D.VA, Roadhog, and Orisa, according to Overbuff, this update could be a catalyst for Sigma to finally be the most popular choice in the game.

Given that he already has the sixth-best win rate out of all heroes, it could be the wakening call everyone needs to give him a go and reinvent tanks in Overwatch 2.
