Heading into the fourth season of Overwatch 2 and Blizzard Entertainment is still adjusting the preliminary hero pool to fit the new 5v5 play styles.

As the game evolves and players begin to adapt to the new way of playing the game modes, heroes that have been cornerstones of the franchise are now having their kits altered to make for a smoother experience across the board.

But just as the devs prepare to roll out the divisive Lifeweaver, the patch notes have detailed two reworks to pre-existing characters, and fans are rather confused.

Overwatch 2 fans confused by Ashe nerfs

With Season 4 bringing in some major reworks to stalwart heroes, Ashe is set to be on the receiving of some heavy nerfs.

However, one, in particular, is causing quite a stir. According to Blizzard's patch notes, they have "fixed a bug that allowed Ashe to gain Ultimate while B.O.B was active".

However, back in 2019, the devs actually made that exact change to her kit, claiming it was a bug that she couldn't gain her Ultimate while B.O.B was active. So, in the space of four years, the developers have labelled it a bug when she gains her ultimate, and when she doesn't.

"It makes no sense to not get charged while Bob is deployed, when he stops charging is when she should start getting ult charge," said one befuddled fan. "If you gonna use this logic then Wrecking Ball shouldn't gain ult while his mines are up, they continued.

Brigitte finally gets her stun back in Season 4 and Overwatch 2 players are running scared

The other major rework in Season 4 is Brigitte, who is finally getting her Shield Bash Stun back after years of being a bit of a slogger in Overwatch.

"I feel a primal fear I haven't felt since the old days after seeing the return of Sheild Bash Stun for Season 4," said one fan on Reddit. "It's a wonderful time to be alive and love playing Brig even in her current state," added another.

With Lifeweaver coming into the rotation too, it's certainly quite an interesting time for Overwatch 2 fans, who will be quite busy come April 11 trying to figure out the meta.
