Given Activision's propensity to combine its individual game series, Overwatch and Call of Duty has, weirdly, never been one to intertwine.

Instead, Call of Duty has moved from its parent's other son Diablo IV to third-party crossovers with some of the biggest TV series on the planet and games from every corner of the industry, bringing forth collaboratory Operators and cosmetics.

But the most recent Call of Duty crossover with Warhammer 40K has been the straw that has broken the camel's back, and by camels, we mean Overwatch 2 fans.

Given the natural bulk of Overwatch 2's tanks, fans of Blizzard's alternate and sci-fi shooter have now erupted in jealousy over the new Warhammer 40K crossovers with Call of Duty, which may have been better suited to the agents.

One Redditor named "McManus26" has taken to the platform to show off a plethora of skin concepts for Overwatch agents dressed in Warhammer 40K-inspired outfits.

With Reindhard as Titan, Mercy as Saint Celestine, Widowmaker as Callidus, and many more, the concept artist captioned their post "Call of Duty is getting a Warhammer40K collab, so why not Overwatch?"

The Call of Duty x Warhammer 40K collaboration has brought Titan, an Ultramarines Scout, Battle Sister, and Cadian Kasrkin, leaving many other characters left to play with that feature in the Redditor's post, which could leave the door open for Activision to levy an Overwatch 2 collab after all.

"Ngl you had a lot of amazing comparisons for what each heroes skins could be based off of," one Overwatch 2 fan said.

An abundance of other positive comments have also flown in, although some other fans noted that the Warhammer crossover might not be too easy for Blizzard Entertainment's branch of Activision to join forces with, given their development of Starcraft, a Warhammer 40K rival.

Still, Overwatch 2 could do with some of the same love that Call of Duty gets, even if it does see Winston rep a King Kong rig-up.
