Riot Games are staying true to their methods of madness going into the Summer of 2021, ramping up the content in their two core titles, VALORANT and League of Legends.

Having recently added a technological tycoon to the VALORANT agent pool in the form of KAY/O, it now looks like Riot are coming in swinging for LoL too.

In a puzzle shared on their website, Riot Games have revealed a brand-new Sentinels of Light event that will blossom over Summoners Rift, and offered the first glimpse at a seemingly new champion: Akshan.

League of Legends New Champion: Akshan

The never-seen-before champion appears on a poster which is revealed upon the completion of the puzzle.

Coming in the bottom right of the poster, the champion appears to be swinging in on a grapple gun of sorts, bracing his inner Tarzan and blessed with the hunky looks of Aquaman.

Within the source code of the poster, LoL fanatics have found that the champion is set to be named Akshan.

There's also a letter within the puzzle that reads "To the Sentinels—in the event of my death, I appoint Akshan as my successor, to inherit my weapon and keep Shurima protected from the forces of undeath. May you one day find us, Shadya."

'Akshan' is also the final password for the art in which the new champion can be found, all but confirming his name.

New Sentinels Of Light Skins For Graves and Vayne

Alongside the new LoL champion, Akshan, the Sentinels of Light event looks to be giving new skins to Graves and Vayne, as seen in the artwork.

The two marksmen can be seen dressed in attire that isn't in the game yet, posing alongside Senna, Lucian, and Gwen against Viego.

The final teaser comes in the form of the VALORANT logo featuring on an official LoL poster for the first time, possibly indicating an upcoming crossover between Riot's children.

As for the Sentinels of Light event, no date has been revealed for its start.
