LA Thieves Announce Huke And SlasheR Are Back In The Starting Roster
The Call of Duty League is heating up, and after a lengthy and tiresome spell online, the games elite players are finally getting back on the main stage in the upcoming major.
With Atlanta FaZe leading the pack, many of the top dogs are snarling their teeth ahead of the return to LAN, with the likes of a resurgent OpTic Chicago, a boisterous New York Subliners, and a purring Florida Mutineers barking up the tree.
However, a trialled and tested LA Thieves have now revealed their lineup for the foreseeable future, boasting of LAN veterans and major championship-winning duo of Cuyler "Huke" Garland and Austin "SlasheR" Liddicoat returning to the starting roster.
LA Thieves Bring Back Huke and SlasheR
As the stage lights are being prepared, LA Thieves have opted for the stars in their roster top shine, lining up both former world champions alongside the experience of Kenny "Kenny" Williams and Thomas "TJHaly" Haly.
Unfortunately for the young gunners of the roster, Carlos "Venom" Hernandez and Zack "Drazah" Jordan will be sidelined, extending their wait for a chance to make their LAN debuts.
LA Thieves coach Jordan "JKap" Kaplan recently backed the decision to remove Huke from the starting line-up and keep Venom in the roster.
However, it was recently revealed that Huke's benching, in some part, was a result of a stigma surrounding the player and his use of Adderall. Huke opened up about his past experiences with the drug and cleared the air on how long he's been clean for.
Nadeshot backs the new LA Thieves Roster
Forever involved in Call of Duty esports, 100 Thieves owner Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag has backed the decision to bring the wolf pack to LAN, rather than bringing a lemon to a knife fight.
The former Call of Duty pro said "I know we have shifted this roster around quite a bit this year with a variety of talented Call of Duty players but with LAN events back on the horizon, we decided to field a lineup with star-studded veteran talent with proven results. Looking forward to the rest of the season."
Coach JKap also added "It's been a roller coaster of a year, but hoping we can turn stage 4 around and make something happen with this new lineup for the last few tournaments of the year"
The final round of fixtures ahead of the Stage 4 LAN will see LA Thieves take on Minnesota Rokkr and OpTic, as they look to find themselves in the top seed.
