Fortnite has been associated with its building mechanic for some time now for both good and bad.

The prospect of cranking '90s has truly set the cartoony battle royale apart from its competitors and depending on who you ask, the mechanic that lets you create your own structures wherever you like is either the game's greatest asset or greatest weakness.

However you feel about it, you at least now have the opportunity to play with or without it - but now, Fortnite is offering you the chance to make your impressive builds the next permanent staple in the game.

Fortnite Wants You To Design A New Building For Tilted Towers

It looks like the next great Fortnite architect could be you, as Epic Games are hosting a drive to allow players to choose the design of a new building set to arrive in Tilted Towers this season.

The Block, a drive to get players to make their additions to the Fortnite map is back, and this time it's asking for players to make their own additions to Tilted.

"Time to rebuild Tilted, and this time you are the architect," reads the announcement on the Epic Games site for Fortnite creators. "Design your own building to be constructed in the new Tilted Towers POI. Submit your building by June 13."

But, there's a catch.

How Can I Submit A Tilted Towers Building Design?

In order to submit your own design for the new Tilted competition, you're going to have to be a part of the Fortnite support-a-creator program, meaning that you'll have to prove to Epic Games that you have a strong online following or popularity.

It's a frustrating point that Epic Games have put into effect, in a seemingly arbitrary barrier to make sure that whoever makes the new building has fans to share the news with - but if you're already a part of the program, then design away.

It's irritating that a barrier like this exists, but at least some of the community have a chance to leave their stamp on the wider Fortnite map. Tilted is changing - and it could be in your hands.
