The end is nigh as Galactus is officially on his way to Fortnite. Despite some still saying Epic Games' battle royale rumbler is a "dead game", the Marvel-themed Chapter 2 Season 4 has been a breath of fresh air to the map. Bringing the great and the good of Marvel Comics to Fortnite, Season 4 has been building toward the arrival of Galactus as the big bad. Now, the Fortnite Galactus skin has leaked early.

For those unfamiliar with who Galactus is, the character is known as the Devourer of Worlds in the comics. In Fortnite, it's much of the same as he's heading toward the map in hopes of swallowing it. This has led to wild speculation we're going to have another catastrophic event similar to Season X's "The End", but for now, we're left in the dark. We always knew Galactus would be landing in physical form, and now, we've got a glimpse at what he'll look at in all his imposing glory.

Fortnite Galactus skin: What does he look like?

Given the fact we've previously seen Galactus in the season's marketing campaign, it's no real surprise that his appearance is pretty much identical - albeit a little smaller. Shared on Twitter by @ximton, they said this is an "early look", meaning this might not be the finished design. They also added that it might only be for the upcoming Galactus event, so we might not be able to buy him in the shop to parade around in regular matches as the globe-gobbling bad guy. If the Fortnite Galactus skin is just for the finale event, it seems like it would be a bit of a waste.

Not everyone is convinced the skin is legitimate, with some calling it out as a fake. if this is the case, it's a very impressive rendering that you could easily imagine being the finished product. As a follow-up to the OG tweet, @ximton shared a glip of Galactus performing the Go Cat Go emote glitch and turning into Mecha Kitty. With the Galactus event just over the horizon, it's not like you've got long to wait anyway.

There have been some great skins in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4, with late additions like Black Panther, Venom, and Ghost Rider quickly becoming fan-favourites. Who wouldn't want to parade around as Galactus? The latest reveal is part of a slew of leaks that have seen Fortnite go viral all over again. As well as hints that the map is about to be overhauled again, we had the recent confirmation of Fortnite Crew Membership and the potential arrival of The Mandalorian skins in Chapter 2 Season 5.

Let's remember that we've had skins as part of a limited-time mode before. Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet were a short-lived arrival in-game, so it's entirely possible Galactus will be the same. Here's hoping he'll be sticking around a little longer and we get to see the Devourer of Worlds really make his mark on the map. Either way, expect the Fortnite Galactus skin will be dressed to impress.
