FaZe Clan's Cizzorz Has Been Mysteriously Banned From Twitch

Another big name has been given the boot from Twitch, and this time, it's FaZe Clan's John “Cizzorz” Cizek who has been walloped with the ban hammer. However, while most people send the rumour mill into overdrive as everyone tries to guess why they've been banned, no one has a clue why the streaming platform would kick Cizzorz.

Twitch is cagey about its banning procedures, meaning it will never reveal why someone is kicked from the site. This often leads to wild speculation which is less than helpful and doesn't fix the situation. Still, it's unusual to have no idea why a streamer has been banned. Twitch hasn't been holding back with bans, and by the looks of it, Cizzorz has been caught in the latest cull.

According to @StreamerBans, Cizzorz has been banned from Twitch. Despite no one knowing why the ban was put in place, some think it could be to do with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and the use of music without getting the owner's permission.

Only recently, Rocket League player Mariano “SquishyMuffinz” Arruda was banned and worked with Twitch to resolve a DMCA issue before he was allowed back to the site. The same happened to Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani, who eventually returned after deleting a stream containing music from years before.

SquishyMuffinz' ban was reversed within a day, but at the time of writing, Cizzorz hasn't responded to his ban apart from Tweeting about it. He's currently missing in action on Twitch. Even though it's possible things could play out in the same way, it's important to remember we don't know why Cizzorz was banned.

As part of Twitch's no-nonsense approach to banning, there's been an uptick in bans based on DMCA violations. Twitch hasn't held back from banning streamers who've used videos with unauthorised music featuring prominently or playing in the background. Despite streamers getting onto the issue and promising to tighten up their use of licensed music, Twitch went back as far as it could to unearth videos that are in violation.

Even though streamers have been proactively deleting any violations, it hasn't stopped a few slipping through the net. Ultimately, we'll never know if this is why Cizzorz was banned. Will Cizzorz be back or is this one of those Dr Disrespect situations? We'll have to wait and see.
