Known as the greatest League of Legends player of all time, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok continues to write the pages into the history books. The mid-laner holds more accolades than any other esports athlete imaginable, and has now reached yet another milestone which further etches his name and legacy into an industry that is set to light up the media world for generations to come.

In his tenth season of League of Legends action, in which he's won three World Championships, nine regional titles, and a further two Mid-Season Invitationals, Faker has now reached a stunning milestone which will likely only be built upon.

Faker Reaches 2500 Kills In LCK

From his first professional games in Season 3, Faker was destined to break records, having a knack of racking up kills when his T1 teammates needed saving, when the Korean side needed a foothold in the game, and when they needed to assert dominance over their opponents to take down nexus after nexus.

Earning the tag of "The Unkillable Demon King" in Korea, Faker became renowned for his deadly plays and chaining kills across the world, and reached the millennial mark during the 2016 Summer Split, as the first player to do so. A mere four years later and he'd doubled his tally to 2,000, again, as the first player to reach this landmark.

Now, he's hit the quarter of a decamillennium of kills, notching his 2,500th against LCK's future grim reaper Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon. Playing as his signature LeBlanc champion, Faker continued T1's unbeaten streak in the LCK Spring Split in remarkable fashion, toppling the second-seeded Gen.G, and taking home six kills to push himself over the 2,500 mark.

One of Faker's kills in the Gen.G matchup left analysts speechless, such as Marc Robert "Caedrel" Lamont, as he tower-dived Han "Peanut" Wang-ho and deleted him from Summoners Rift. "How did Faker do that? How did that happen? What? How is that possible? What the f*ck," said Caedral on stream.

Faker's incredible milestone marks his second landmark accolade in a matter of weeks, as he joined Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu in surpassing 1,000 game appearances, spanning throughout the LCK and on a variety of international stages. Deft did pip Faker to the post by a mere few hours to make League of Legends history of his own, although Faker has since added this statistic to his ever-growing record collection.

The pair will go down in LoL history for being the greatest players of the opening decade, although their only appearance together on the same team came at the 2021 LCK all-star event.

With T1 reigning supreme once more in the LCK, starting the campaign off with a tremendous 13-0 record, it might only be a matter of time before Faker gets his hands on the Summoners Cup once more, well and truly perching him on the throne as the king of LoL.
