Professional Dota2 player Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov has been indefinitely suspended from his former organisation, Tundra Esports, while the team is in the middle of DreamLeague 22. Tundra cites an internal disciplinary investigation following "unreasonable demands."

A short stint

After only two months, having been picked up by Tundra on January 8, MinD_ContRoL seems ready to leave the organisation. With New Year's resolutions, Tundra had undergone another rebuild, parting ways with their pickups of former Team Undying.

Once more rebuilding with Edgar "9Class" Naltakian, MinD_Control was the second player to be brought in, with BetBoom’s Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko being loaned to Tundra. Just three weeks later, coach David "MoonMeander" Tan was brought back.

To straighten out its direction, the team also brought on former Swedish player Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg as their General Manager, the first team the 26-year-old had taken on.

According to MinD_ControL, this is when the relationship with the organisation soured, having his captaincy taken away by loan Pure, and going against his wish in the choice of both MoonMeander and zai as a General Manager.

Making the organisation the team choose between him and these decisions could've be the tipping point in the relationship, which caused the former TI Champion to "no longer participate and represent Tundra," as the organisation's Twitter post outlined.

In the middle of DreamLeague 22

The decision arrives at a rather inopportune time, with Tundra Esports currently in the middle of the Group Stage of DreamLeague Season 22. In Group B, the team is currently sitting at a middling three ties and one loss, though still in striking distance of qualification for the next round.

Bringing in former Na'Vi player Vladislav "laise" Lais on short notice as a stand-in, the team will have to play two matches today (February 27) and one more match tomorrow (February 28) for a chance at the second Group Stage.

Qualification still might prove tricky given that the teams currently ahead of Tundra are all teams they had previously already played against during the competition. With fate out of their hands and a short notice pick-up, the British organisation will require a pinch of luck to make it into the next round.
