After yesterday's strange and ominous teaser from Call of Duty, Activision has now revealed their brand-new RICOCHET anti-cheat system that will be coming to Warzone and Vanguard later this year.

The system has been built from the ground up exclusively for the Call of Duty franchise by an in-house team who will from here on out be dedicated to its maintenance.

It features two different subdivisions - a new update to provide better infrastructure, and one to keep security clamped down with a PC kernel driver system that will directly detect hacking.

It will arrive in Vanguard on November 5, and it will arrive in Warzone alongside the new Pacific map.

The anti-cheat software is sadly PC only, but Activision has insisted that by extension, console players using cross-play will benefit too.

More follows...
