The era of Call of Duty crossovers has truly begun, with Activision pairing up with countless popular names to create fresh content for players.

Whether it's Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, 21 Savage, or even Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, the devs are not slowing down when it comes to top-tier collabs.

While all of these were successful, none of them quite matched the excitement that came with The Boys x CoD crossover, introducing Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir as Operators.

And now, it's been revealed that another superhero is coming to Call of Duty in Season 6, and it's the classic comic book character Spawn.

Spawn is coming to Call of Duty in Season 6

Todd McFarlane's classic superhero Spawn is coming to Call of Duty, and old-school comic book fans are over the moon.

Taking to Twitter on September 20, CoD simply announced that "Spawn is summoned" and that the "Underworld" is set to rise in Season 6.

While the update is guaranteed to bring a Spawn Operator to the table, it'll be interesting to see if there are any extras like the collab with The Boys.

As expected, this news has got a lot of the community on the edge of their seat for Season 6, describing the collab as "incredible" and making it clear they're "definitely going to buy this."

When will Spawn crossover release in MW2 & Warzone 2?

As mentioned in CoD's tweet, Spawn will be debuting in MW2 and Warzone 2 on September 27 when Season 6 drops.

Some fans have speculated that Spawn may be part of the Battle Pass, but this is extremely unlikely given crossover skins are typically only available in the store.

Either way, this is an absolute treat for comic book fans and continues the trend of amazing superhero collaborations in Call of Duty.
