We're sorry to admit it, but Borderlands has been a little all over the place recently. While fans enjoyed Borderlands 3 enough, it didn't quite prove to have the sticking power of its previous entries, before leaping immediately into the bizarre unknown of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

It was certainly a lot, and given that all we've had to go off of is New Tales from the Borderlands since, we're feeling just about ready for another mainline instalment. The series is shaping up for more, and it looks like Borderlands 4 could be coming much sooner than we had anticipated.

Though we're starting to enter a point of the year where newly announced games are likely to tick over into 2024, it looks like there could be one outlier. Thankfully, it's one that fans have been clamouring for.

As first pointed out on the GamingLeaksandRumours subreddit, actress Angie Jho Lee has listed some interesting voiceover work on her resume. She claims to play a character called Aiyumi in Borderlands 4. If this is true, Aiyumi is a brand-new character we've never met before.

It's interesting, as the new character claim appears to add a little more validity to the idea that the next tile is coming - but another accidental post has revealed a potential release window.

Borderlands 4 could be coming this year

Another resume appears to have leaked Borderlands 4, indicating that the game is currently set to release this year. Nadia D is a Senior Executive Producer and CG Art Supervisor, as well as Head of Production at MoGi Group.

Nadia D's CV has seemingly revealed she's been working on Borderlands 4 with Stray Kite Studios and Gearbox Software, with a release window of 2023 attached. It's a surprise that these details have both come as a result of resumes, but hey, we imagine it does a good amount to get people jobs.

Gearbox is yet to confirm or deny the rumours, and the last we heard about Borderlands 4, Randy Pitchford said the team was "working on the big one" back in 2021. Keep hustling, especially if it means we get more leaks.
