It's the moment we've all been waiting for. Verdansk is set to change forever and Warzone is finally opening a new chapter. Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3 is just around the corner, and Treyarch has sent out their seasonal teaser, jam-packed to the brim with enthralling new content.

As missiles look set to rain on Warzone, the developers' teaser centralised around what content was heading to the multiplayer title, including new maps and weapons, with some golden archives being dragged out of their magic bag.

Black Ops Season 3 New Maps

Two brand-new maps are coming, as calls for more original content have been heard.

Yamantau comes as the first 6v6 map, coming as a similar design to Satellite although in an icy climate in the mountains of the Soviet Union.

The second 6v6 map will be Diesel, described as "a gas station and surrounding in the lonesome desert, smack dab in the middle of the badlands".

Finally, coming in a mid-season update will be the Black Ops 2 classic Standoff, often dubbed as the best competitive Call of Duty map ever seen.

Black Ops Season 3 New Weapons

Six new weapons are also on their way, some old, some new, some borrowed.

Launch week will see a brand-new Sniper Rifle, showing a likeness to the Kar98k. The Swiss K31 will also be joined by an old rough diamond: the PPSH-21 SMG.

Black Ops' fun and frantic Ballistic Knife is coming back too, to tie in with the Sticks and Stones playlist.

Later in the season, the CARV.2 Tactical Rifle (a replica of the G11), the AMP63 Pistol, and a Harley Quinn-esque Baseball Bat will join the lineup.

Season 3 is set to kick off at 5am GMT on April 22, slamming in content that will please old-school fans as well as the newer generation.
