The Game Awards officially took place on Thursday evening, and it was nothing short of a spectacle, laden with countless epic new titles for the gaming world to marvel over for the next few months. From Back4Dead, to The Swedish Chef's Overcooked DLC, there was something for everyone, but one trailer, in particular, sparked the interest of countless Call of Duty fans across the world.

It seems like just yesterday that Black Ops Cold War officially launched, and already Season One is almost upon us. So what better way to celebrate than with a shiny new trailer, depicting everything coming to the game in the first season. From new operators to a TWO BRAND NEW GULAGs (yes, you read that right) and the return of the ever-loved game mode Raid, there's a lot to take in.

With action shots galore and a range of new guns for players to sink their teeth into, the trailer was a highlight of the night for the Call of Duty community. The trailer also confirmed the arrival of Rebirth Island.

Following the trailer's release, Treyarch posted a tweet saying: "#BlackOps invades #Warzone in Season One. New map: Rebirth Island • New mode: Resurgence • Cold War weapons + Operators • New Gulag experiences • Synchronized Prestige and Battle Pass progression • New Daily Challenges".

Two Gulag maps have been confirmed for Season One, with the first based in Rebirth Island and the second based in Verdansk. Prop Hunt has officially been confirmed to return to Cold War and the Pitfall Machine can be seen in one of the image stills as one of the props used in the gameplay.

Season one of Black Ops Cold War will be landing on December 16. Are you ready?
