B Site, a tournament organiser, has announced its first event for VALORANT, named 'Pop Flash'.

Expanding from their Flashpoint league in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, B Site has created an Ignition Series, with a $50,000 prize pool.

Pop Flash will be the final event in the North American VALORANT Ignition Series for 2020, hosting eight invited teams from August 26-30.

Cloud9, Dignitas, Gen.G, Immortals, T1, Team Envy, Team SoloMid, and Sentinels are all invited to the event. The format for the event has yet to be announced. However, if Flashpoint is anything to go off, the series will likely include group stages followed by a double-elimination bracket playoff.

Vice President of Branding at B Site, Christopher 'MonteCristo' Mykles stated in a press release: "We’re excited to join the VALORANT Ignition Series with Pop Flash. B Site is honoured that we can help to lay the foundation for a brand new global esport in a way that sets a standard for sustainability and future success. Pro team organisations are just beginning to find their footing in this new arena and events like this will be a crucial stepping stone for player recruiting and team development.”

Pop Flash will come as North America's fourth event in the Ignition Series, with Team SoloMid taking the last event and the crown for best in the region. In their second event win at the FaZe Clan Invitational, they beat Sentinals in an intense 3-2 win, with the last map going down to the wire. TSM pipped Sentinals to the win in the final round, securing a 14-12 win on Bind to take home first place. With Wardell at the wheel, TSM will be looking to increase the dominance across North America at Pop Flash.
