Assassin's Creed is spreading its wings and flying in all sorts of directions. The franchise has confirmed that it's heading to various corners of the world for different types of assassin experiences.

Following 2022's Valhalla, we've got a spin-off based on Basim's adventures, as well as a new flair as Assassin's Creed travels to the Salem Witch Trials and beyond.

There's plenty to come, but for some time, it's felt like that's something for the future - something that we shouldn't expect too soon. Excitingly, new leaks imply that the next game is just around the corner.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Release Date Has 'Leaked'

A new leak from a retailer seems to reveal a release date for Assassin's Creed Mirage. Remember, it's a game that otherwise was only vaguely slated for 2023.

A new post to the Assassin's Creed subreddit shows a screenshot that's reportedly from the storefront of a Polish store's listing for Mirage. It claims that the title is set to launch on June 30, 2023.

With this being the last day of June - and no other leaks pointing to this date - there's every chance that this is just a placeholder date.

Even so, it's the closest we've got to an Assassin's Creed Mirage release date. Who knows, we might be getting Mirage much sooner than we initially expected it.

Fans Are Demanding a Black Flag Remake

While there's a lot going on in the imminent future of Assassin's Creed, a lot of players are more intent on looking backwards - coming together to demand more throwbacks.

There are growing calls for Ubisoft to give Assassin's Creed III's Connor another chance to play protagonist for the series, while others are asking for a return to the swashbuckling adventures of Black Flag in a new remake.

Though wannabe assassins can't quite decide what they want, we know what we're getting - and it's looking like a lot of fun. Roll on June (maybe).
