The June 2023 showcase from Apple had treats for those in its sphere. The Worldwide Developers Conference revealed new additions to the Apple hardware family with new Macs, as well as plenty of new software for iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. However, they were overshadowed by that one more thing.

Apple revealed its own step into the world of VR with the Apple Vision Pro. It's a new means to work, watch movies, interact with the world, and enter the Apple ecosystem with more sacrifice than ever. And its price is absolutely eye-watering. But worse if you wear glasses.

If your eyes aren't up to scratch, then sorry, because Apple clearly isn't in the business of helping you out. You may notice that even though the price of the Apple Vision Pro is extortionate, the hefty $3,500 price tag (with an unknown cost in the likes of the UK) on the headset is only where the item starts.

This meana that more fees are about to mount on top of it. Apparently, those fees are likely to hit those who wear glasses. Scott Stein from CNET has reported how the Vision Pro simply doesn't allow users to wear glasses while on, with Zeiss custom inserts to correct the wearer's vision instead.

Apple confirmed the Vision Pro is compatible with Optical Inserts being held in place magnetically, which can be easily swapped with another user. There's no word on where these inserts with come from or how much they'll cost - but either way, it'll likely be an extra sum on top of the already expensive headset.

When is the Apple Vision Pro coming out?

Apple's WWDC showcase revealed that the Apple Vision Pro headset will be launching online and in Apple stores around the US during the first quarter of 2024, with the supposedly life-changing headset planned for other territories at a later date.

So, it looks like we've got plenty of time to decide our position on the new device. Even so, we'll need to make up the money first. Even more for those of you who need to wear glasses, we suggest you get saving now.
