Just hours after announcing the departure, and ultimately the retirement, of star DPS player Nam-Joo "Striker" Kwon, San Francisco Shock have stunned the Overwatch League by revealing the homecoming of their king.

Seonchang "ANS" Lee has officially returned to Overwatch, re-signing for San Francisco Shock.

ANS Returns To Overwatch

Having quit Overwatch in January, ANS signed for T1's VALORANT roster, alongside fellow ex-Overwatch star, who was set to rival Ha "Spyder" Jung-woo.

As rivals to former teammate Jay "sinatraa" Won at Sentinels, T1 failed to reach the Stage 2 Masters, a result which saw ANS drop to the Academy side.

However, after six months in Riot Games' tactical FPS, ANS has now decided to come home and returned to Overwatch.

San Francisco Shock Roster

After some transfers typical of their name, the Shock is still littered with familiar faces.

Star man and captain Matthew "Super" DeLisi remains their number one Tank, whilst the DPS roles are filled by Sean "ta1yo" Taiyo Henderson, Charlie "nero" Zwarg, Lim "Glister" Gil-seong, and the returning ANS.

Having won back-to-back championships in 2019 and 2020, ANS has returned with the simple message of: "I'm back, and ready to shock the world again", in a bid to complete a never seen before hat-trick.

Their next fixture comes against Los Angeles Gladiators, although the Overwatch League will have to approve the transfer before we see ANS in action once again.
