A secret arcade game lets you dive deeper into Cyberpunk 2077's lore
Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update has added a lot of content into the game. From new radio stations to improved AI and more hidden secrets scattered throughout Night City, there is a lot to discover.
One of the more hidden additions is a secret Doom-like arcade game, tucked away in a room near Protein Farms, which isn't found in any of the patch notes.
A secret arcade game has been added in the 2.0 update
Arasaka Tower 3D is a hidden arcade game based on the Arasaka Headquarters Bombing of 2023 which lets you play as legendary rocker Johnny Silverhand himself.
The game follows the events of the bombing, walking you through it in a similar way to the flashback which occurs early on in the game through Doom-style gameplay.
While it may seem unusual for a game to be based on a terror attack, it seems oddly fitting in Cyberpunk 2077, and it really helps you feel like you are a part of the game's lore.
How does Arasaka Tower 3D fit into Cyberpunk 2077?
There are several arcade games in Cyberpunk, including Roach Race, which was added in Patch 1.6 and is based on The Witcher, and Trauma Drama, a new addition to the roster.
While the other games have some vague ties to the games lore, Arasaka Tower 3D seems to draw the most connections to the past and other secrets in the game.
The biggest of these links is that it seems to connect to a mysterious set of alphanumeric characters, FF:06:B5, which players have been trying to solve. At the end of the game, one of the high scores belongs to "PLHSTR", referring to Polyhistor, the owner of the machine, with a high score of FF06B5.
The concept of a hidden arcade machine not found in any of the update information could mean that more secrets excluded from the patch notes exist out in the world. It is going to be exciting to discover them and unlock more information about the world of Cyberpunk.
