How to unlock CX-9 & best loadouts for it in Warzone

There was a time when the Warzone best CX-9 loadouts were the most picked in this popular battle royale. It was the ultimate close-range companion in Warzone, given that you found the right attachments. However, if you wanted to give this baddie a go, then you should first know how to unlock the CX-9 in Warzone. Read on for our guide on how to unlock the CX-9 and the Warzone best CX-9 loadouts and attachments.

How To Unlock CX-9

So you want to equip the Warzone best CX-9 loadouts, but you haven't unlocked the gun yet. How do you go about doing so? Thankfully, the required tasks to unlock the CX-9 aren't actually too difficult:

• Get 2 Longshot kills using an SMG in 5 different matches

Once you've completed that task, the CX-9 will be yours to start unlocking attachments. At the time of its release the focus was on Black Ops Cold War which made the CX-9 an interesting addition to Warzone, simply because it's a Modern Warfare gun. We'd recommend hopping back into 2019's Modern Warfare multiplayer to knock this challenge out of the park quickly, rather than trying to get it in the much longer Warzone matches. If you don't have Modern Warfare, then jump into Plunder to get it done quicker because you can respawn, and you start with your chosen loadout. This is a similar unlocking process to Warzone best C58 loadouts.

Best CX-9 Loadouts: Up Close And Personal

The first of our Warzone best CX-9 loadouts is one that you'll want to run with if you're getting up close and personal, and is better suited to areas of Caldera where there's enough cover. The huge magazine and quick reload means you'll be able to almost constantly fire, while the laser helps with hip-fire accuracy. The Monolithic Suppressor and rear grip help with recoil and damage range when you have no choice but to shoot at a distance.

Best CX-9 Loadouts: Well-Balanced

This CX-9 loadout is more suited to those of you who want to roam Caldera and may not have a long-range weapon alongside your SMG to deal with the longer encounters. Use the CX-38S barrel for increased damage, then stick on the Merc Foregrip and CX-9 Clutch Grip to help with the significant recoil this gun can have at range. The optic will help with picking targets off too. Finally, keep the huge mag from the previous loadout to keep up the constant firing. Reloading will take a little longer, but since you're playing less frantically with this build, it shouldn't matter as much.

Finally, we come to the recommend perks and equipment to run alongside the Warzone best CX-9 loadouts. Of course, you may want to tweak these based on your playstyle, but this is what we find works best:

Perks: E.O.D, Overkill/Ghost, Amped

Secondary Weapon: Kar98k (with Overkill)/Sykov (with Ghost)

Equipment: Throwing Knife/Heartbeat Sensor

You have the choice of whether to go for Overkill or not; if you do, I'd recommend one of the Warzone best snipers, the Kar98k, in your second weapon slot. If you don't, then the Sykov is arguably the best pistol. E.O.D and Amped are two must-have perks in Warzone which is why you find almost everyone rocking them, whereas the Overkill alternatives are Ghost or High Alert. Ghost is our preference thanks to those pesky UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors, but High Alert is just as valid a choice. Especially if you are rocking a steadier assault rifle like the Warzone best AN94 loadouts. 

The Throwing Knife may seem like an odd choice when it comes to lethal equipment, but the main benefit is that you can fling one at any downed enemies to finish them off instantly without having to waste time shooting them then reloading, which can be crucial under pressure. The Heartbeat Sensor is major key in Warzone too, helping you to eliminate any players camping in buildings... as long as they don't have Ghost.
