You may want to know about the Valheim console release date, as the popular Norse-themed open-world survival game is finally being ported to consoles after spending a lot of time in early access on PC.

Valheim blew up in 2021, becoming one of the biggest survival games of the year. While its popularity has slightly waned since then due to infrequent updates, many console players are still looking forward to trying the game.

So, if you want to know the Valheim console release date, and if the game is coming to Xbox Game Pass, we've got you covered.

Valheim console release date

Valheim is confirmed to be coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on March 14, which is today as of writing this, meaning you can download the game on your console now.

The news broke during the IGN Fan Fest 2023 in February, where the developers released an official trailer showing gameplay for the console version of the game.

The console version will be the same as the current early access version on PC, meaning players looking to try the full version will need to wait at least another two years. This timeframe is based on the developer's own roadmap, which is outlined in the Steam early access tab.

Valheim was also confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass on the same day as the console release, so you can try it for a low entry cost with friends.

It's also worth noting that it supports full crossplay between console and PC, so you can also play with your friends who already own it on Steam.

That's all for our explainer of the Valheim console release date, and now you know you can begin playing it now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
