Underrated Players On EA FC 25

Over the years, we have been blessed with some incredible players on FC, or FIFA, for those of you who still refer to it by the more recognisable name. Underrated players can be gems; they emerge from nowhere, and while they might be perfectly competent professionals in the real game, they fly under the radar and let the big egos take the limelight.

You’re not going to find the players who adorn the cover of FC games in our list today; in fact, we’re going to skim through a couple of overrated players as well, to cause a bit of controversy, because, why not? However, the bulk of today’s focus is going to revolve around the most underrated players on FC 25, and exactly why we have given them that rating.

What Do The Professionals Say?

Professional esports teams with a vested interest in this type of information often scour the rosters of every available team to find a hidden gem. That doesn’t mean they always find them, though.

Given that esports have become so lucrative and so popular that there is an abundance of betting markets branching out, with millions of dollars worth of bets placed every day. Of course, in the grand scheme of things, it is dwarfed by the more established forms of betting, such as slot gaming, or pokies, as it is known Down Under.

Underrated Or Overrated? 

We’ve seen a few pros point out that players like Aurélien Tchouaméni and Álvaro Carreras are often brought up in the underrated question. Although how you can play for Real Madrid and cost tens of millions of dollars, yet still be underrated, is another question entirely. However, given how often they come up, there must be weight to it.  

The live form updates mean that these questions can be more ambiguous, too. Tchouaméni was an 87 overall after he scored in the Champions League against Benfica, so two players might not fit into the definition of underrated; it depends on your definition. 

Another good contender in this bracket is Micky Van De Ven, the talismanic Tottenham Hotspur defender who can look sensational at times but is prone to the odd mistake and foul, which lands him in deep water.  

On FC 25, though, he’s a great player to utilise; his speed gets him out of most trouble, even against some of the fastest players in the game. While the Spurs, overall, are probably not the best choice of team to play with online, they do have a couple of players who could fall into the underrated bracket. However, with Spurs lingering so close to the relegation zone, many would argue he is overrated.

Perusing The EPL

One of the more beneficial changes we’ve seen in FC Seasons over the last few years has been the introduction of live form and active transfers. It was a common negative that reviewers pointed out until EA finally sat up and took notice. Recent reviews of FC 25 focus on the sluggish gameplay but are fairly positive about the game overall.  

If we’re sticking to the top teams, some of the underrated picks we’d go for are Victor Gyökeres, the Arsenal forward. While he’s definitely not a bad player, his combination of height and freakish speed makes him very underrated on FC 25.  

If you have played against the Gunners, you’ll understand why. Eberechi Eze is another Arsenal star who is fantastically gifted but takes on a life of his own on FC 25, he is impossible to get the ball off. If you’re after other EPL talents, Iliman Ndiaye, Everton’s magical winger who has been linked with Manchester United, is an excellent player to play with. While he’s not underrated by the blue half of Merseyside, he has flown under the radar of many FC players. 

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, underrated can depend on the type of strategy you implement. If you are looking for players who are quick and skilful on the counter, then it’s players like Eze who can tear apart teams.  

If you’re playing deep from the back and looking for a player who can accelerate out from the back or keep a lid on any attacks that come your way, Van De Ven could be the answer.

As FCs change players' ratings based on their week's performance, this question can often be highly ambiguous, but one surefire way to find out is to play with as many teams as possible and note the players who stand out.
