Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Eros Wyvern: How To Kill The Self-Healing Boss

The Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Eros Wyvern boss fight may come as somewhat of a surprise, because this tricky enemy can prove to be a right pain in the butt unless you're wielding some seriously overpowered gear. Found in what is likely to be one of the final dungeons you tackle in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, killing this self-healing not-dragon is required to earn one of the Aaron G shrine pieces. So how do you kill the Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Eros Wyvern? Here are our top tips.

As previously stated, the reason the Eros Wyvern is so tough is because it can heal itself. Not only that, it also has three health bars - not armour, actual health bars, so even if you get it down to one-shot from death, it has the chance to heal all the way back up to full. So how do you kill it?

The Eros Wyvern doesn't deal much damage itself, because a lot of its attacks instead shoot out pink hearts. If any of these hit you, then it will heal. If you're only hit by one heart, it heals a small amount, but if you're caught in the middle of a big blast, expect that flying menace to regenerate shed loads of health. If you see it charging up a healing attack - which is a split second animation, so you don't have long - do your best to either dodge out of the way or get something between you and the blast, like a pillar. Alternatively, if the Eros Wyvern is laying the heart mines that explode, your best bet is just to get the heck out of there as quickly as possible. Constantly putting distance between yourself and the enemy is key.

The other problem with this boss fight are all the Coiled enemies that will constantly be attacking you. There's little salvation here, because you just need to deviate your time between focusing on those folks and the Eros Wyvern. Having an area-of-effect (AoE) action skill or spell can help, so you can focus on the Eros Wyvern until you're surrounded by Coiled, pop your AoE attack to give yourself some room, then return to the Wyvern.

How To Kill The Eros Wyvern In Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

So how do you actually kill the Eros Wyvern? Dodging the heart attacks is a strategy that will eventually work, but you'll find yourself getting frustrated whenever you get set-back by the Eros Wyvern healing. One trick that does deal a significant chunk of damage ties into whenever the Eros Wyvern lands, which it does periodically.

Either side of the main arena are two spike traps in the floor. If you can coax the Wyvern into landing on them, they deal immense damage because it won't immediately flee. If the Wyvern lands away from the spike traps, put some distance between yourself and the enemy, along with the spike trap. Block your line of sight to it - with a pillar or wall - and the Wyvern should move towards you, hopefully roaming onto the spike trap.

Most importantly though, you need to keep your distance. Being too close to the Wyvern means you'll be unable to dodge the attacks that heal it, so long-range weapons will fare better like assault rifles and rocket launchers. If you're still struggling, make sure you keep switching out your weapons and spells to try new strategies.
