Supersonic-Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars has come quite a way since its first release, and long gone are the days of the standard glitchy console carball. Instead, mobile gaming is taking over, and Rocket League Sideswipe Season 5 is coming and bringing a wealth of futuristic hologram rewards with it. Here's everything you need to know about Rocket League Sideswipe Season 5.

Heading into Rocket League Sideswipe Season 5, pixelated flamboyance will be prevalent. As always, the Rocket Pass will bring along a range of customisation features, XP boosts, and swagger to your car, and this time some new bodies are up for grabs.

Two brand-new cars will be available in the Rocket League Sideswipe Season 5 Rocket Pass, as the Chikara G1 and Masamune cars both pull into the garage.

Once you're ready to add your mechanics' fine tuning, you will also be able to unlock items such as the Holo Data Goal Explosion, ROBO-Visor Topper, and Hexphase Boost, to add a bionic feel to your flying cars.

Rocket League Sideswipe Season 5: Ranked Volleyball

You might have gotten quite used to the Rocket League Sideswipe mechanics by now, finding ways to manipulate your flips and flicks to get the advantage in aerials and general ground-play. So, why not try them in a different setting?

Instead of the to-and-fro in trying to score goals, how about some keepy-uppies instead? After being trialled in previous seasons, Volleyball will return as a game mode in Rocket League Sideswipe Season 5, where you daren't let the ball hit the floor.

Rocket League Sideswipe Season 5 kicked off on September 7, and will take you right through until Christmas where the festivities will take over.
