It's been revealed that a special epilogue adventure is on the way for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's DLC, tying up all the loose ends left behind in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.

In a surprise announcement, The Pokemon Company confirmed that a short epilogue will be available in January 2024, sending Trainers back to Kitakami with some familiar faces from the Paldea region. Here's everything we know so far.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet epilogue release date

The special epilogue for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will be released on January 11, 2024, at 2PM UTC.

If you're wondering when that is in your local time, it converts to 6AM PT (Los Angeles), 9AM ET (New York), 2PM GMT (UK), 3PM CET (Central Europe), and 1AM AEDT on the following day for Sydney, Australia.

How to play the Scarlet & Violet epilogue

Before you can play the Scarlet & Violet epilogue, you'll need to finish the post-game of the main story and also finish both parts of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.

Once you've done this, make sure your game is updated to the latest version once the epilogue is released, and then you'll be ready to jump right in!

The epilogue will take Trainers back to the Kitakami region from The Teal Mask for one final adventure. The teaser trailer revealed that characters like Nemona, Arven, and Penny will also come along for the ride.

Not much is known about the epilogue right now, but the trailer does end with a close-up of a mysterious pink statue that's rumoured to be a brand-new Pokemon. We'll just have to wait and see what happens...
