You may want to know the Overwatch 2 beta start time, so you know exactly when you can jump in to play the sequel to Blizzard's hero shooter on the exact release date. Overwatch was massive during its initial launch back in 2016, attracting tonnes of players and solidifying itself as one of the premier multiplayer hero shooters. It did fall off somewhat more recently, with players unhappy about the state of updates and the meta, so Overwatch 2 is a chance for Blizzard to redeem the franchise and give it a well-needed redux. So read on for a breakdown of the Overwatch 2 beta start time.

Overwatch 2 Beta Start Time And Release Date

The Overwatch 2 beta will begin on June 28. It's set to go live at 7pm BST (11am PST/2pm EST/8pm CEST), and will run until the same time on July 18, meaning players have just over two weeks to play, however Blizzard did announce that it could be extended if needed.

You can still sign up for the Overwatch 2 beta on the game's official website, and the beta will begin with a small selection of players before expanding to more over the course of the two weeks. This means you may not immediately get an invitation on June 28, but don't worry about missing out.

There's not much information about the characters and maps that will be part of the Overwatch 2 beta, but we do know the new hero Junker Queen will be playable, along with the brand-new Rio map.

It's available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and there will be crossplay between all participating platforms.

That's all for our guide on the Overwatch 2 beta start time, and if you are lucky enough to receive an invitation on June 28, you should be able to jump in once it starts.

Make sure you also check out everything we know so far about Overwatch 2, including the release date, gameplay, and more.
