Skydance Media's Captain America and Black Panther game now has a confirmed title of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, and thanks to the story trailer that debuted in March, we know a bit more about the upcoming game

Marvel is now letting many different developers try their hand at licensed games, and 1943 is one of the more exciting ones, as the WWII era of superheroes isn't as commonly explored as our modern era.

If you want to learn more about the game and what it may entail, read on below.

We'll update this section once a concrete date around launch is announced.

Marvel 1943 trailers

The only trailer for Marvel 1943 currently is the story trailer which debuted on March 20, 2024, at the Epic Games' State of Unreal keynote.

This trailer features a number of cutscenes showing off the four main protagonists in the game, and also hints at what the story will consist of. It establishes that the game takes place in Nazi-occupied Paris during WWII, where Captain America and Black Panther have to make an uneasy alliance to deal with the threat of Hydra.

Marvel 1943 is an action-adventure game that features an ensemble of four protagonists that are playable during the experience. These are Captain America, Black Panther, Howling Commando's member Gabriel Jones, and the leader of the Wakandan Spy Network, Nanali.

Exact details of the gameplay are sparse at this point, but it's safe to assume each of the playable characters will have their own unique gameplay mechanics and styles. We'll know more once we get actual gameplay to go off.

Do we know what platforms it will be on?

There are currently no announced platforms for Marvel 1943, though it's likely a current-gen exclusive based on the quality of the graphics in the first trailer.

We'd expect it to be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, but we'll update this guide once the platforms are confirmed.
