How to find Silver Coins in Marauders
If you've just started your space pirate journey in Marauders, you might be stuck on where to find a silver coin, as it is required for one of the earliest core contracts in the game. As Marauders is an extraction shooter, both finding the right loot and getting out with it safely can be a challenge, so if a quest requires something specific you might get a bit stuck. So, make sure to read on for all the information you need about the silver coin, including where to find it and what you need it for.
Where can you find a Silver Coin in Marauders?
Click to enlargeThe quest is rather unclear where you can actually find the silver coin, so you might feel rather lost if you've been searching for a while and cannot find it. Additionally, as it is classified as a valuable item, it is even more unclear where exactly to look for it, as opposed to medical supplies or scrap components for example.
Seemingly the most consistent way to get your hands on a silver coin is heading behind locked doors, or inside the vaults. For this, you will need either a lockpick for the doors or a blowtorch to get into the vault, but they are both worth doing regardless as you will almost always walk away with some valuable items.
Alternatively, there is a chance for silver coins and other valuable items to spawn in the pockets and bags of Raiders, and this was exactly how we got our hands on one for our quest. It is unclear whether Raiders at all locations will drop these, but the ones on the Terraformer location definitely can.
Where do you use a Silver Coin in Marauders?
Click to enlargeThe first main use of the silver coin is for the 'Guild Membembership' quest as part of the core Zero to Hero contract path. It is the second contract of this path but can cause quite a bit of difficulty if you're struggling to find the silver coin in a raid.
Handing over the silver coin to complete this quest will give you the following as a reward:
- $5,250
- 120 XP
- 100 XP for Pirates Faction
- M1 Flak Vest
- M1 Helmet
Alternatively, you can sell it to any of the traders for $2,762 per coin, but you're not going to want to do that if you've not completed the Guild Membership quest yet.
