Immortals of Aveum: Release date, gameplay trailer & more
Immortals of Aveum is a magic-based FPS by Ascendant Studios. Published by EA, Immortals of Aveum is a single-player experience, with players stepping into the shoes of protagonist Jak, a battlemage on track to master all three classes of magic.

Immortals of Aveum release date and platforms
Immortals of Aveum is now scheduled for release on August 22, 2023, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the EA App, Steam and Epic Games Store.
This new release date came after a delay from the previous July 20 launch date. Ascendant CEO and game director for IoA stated in a blog post: "this [delay] will give us time to further polish the game."
The game is available for pre-order now on those platforms. Pre-orders come with an exclusive item, the Purified Arclight Sigil, which increases the power of Jak’s spells.
Deluxe and Standard Editions in Immortals of Aveum
The title also features two different editions of the game: Standard and Deluxe. The Deluxe Edition will come with a unique sigil, three rings, two bracers and three totems in-game. The price point for the Standard Edition is $59.99 for PC and $69.99 for consoles, with the Deluxe Edition priced at $69.99 for PC and $79.99 for console players.

Immortals of Aveum trailer
The reveal trailer of Immortals of Aveum, released on April 13, 2023, introduces fans to the gameplay of the FPS title, showcasing the protagonist casting all manner of flashy spells, while also introducing fans to the world and story they will be exploring.

As mentioned, in Immortals of Aveum, you play as main protagonist Jak, who is an 'Unforeseen' - a person who has shown innate magical ability later in life and who has had the misfortune to be thrown into the middle of a war because of it.
As Jak, you must master all classes of magic – red, green, and blue – and survive the Everwar under the watchful eye of General Kirkan and the Order of the Immortals
Immortals of Aveum is set in an original fantasy world with an over-arching single-player narrative. The unique combination of magic and FPS is an unusual one, that Jeff Gamon, General Manager of EA Partners, has commented on in an EA press release.
“Ascendant had us hooked when we saw how they had woven magic so seamlessly through fast-paced FPS combat, set against an action-packed story we just wanted to keep reading."
As such, we can expect that chained magic attacks and counter moves will be a core mechanic to combat in the game.
