This will see you continue Aloy’s story from the climactic ending of the original game, tying up any loose ends and setting up a potential sequel.

However, if you’re the sort of person that likes to explore every nook and cranny, then you can easily eke out around 15-20 hours of game time in the Burning Shores DLC. The area of LA is added to this new content pack, so there’s a whole new piece of the world to explore.
