If you’re just looking to complete the main story of the Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores DLC, then you can expect to be playing for between eight and 10 hours in total. This will see you continue Aloy’s story from the climactic ending of the original game, tying up any loose ends and setting up a potential sequel.

However, if you’re the sort of person that likes to explore every nook and cranny, then you can easily eke out around 15-20 hours of game time in the Burning Shores DLC. The area of LA is added to this new content pack, so there’s a whole new piece of the world to explore.

While the size of the world in Burning Shores doesn’t quite match up to the size of the original game, the DLC still offers a hefty chunk of landmass to uncover. Fans of the series certainly won't be disappointed by the amount of content on offer here, with side quests and collectables galore.
