Hearthstone Titans is the next upcoming expansion set to release in the ever-popular online card game, with Hearthstone adding another sizeable chunk of the Warcraft universe to the game with this new set of cards.

As the name suggests, Hearthstone Titans brings new Titan cards into the fold, as well as other new cards and keywords, so here is everything you need to know about the expansion, from trailer details to its release date.

Is there a release date for Hearthstone Titans?

Hearthstone Titans will become part of the game on August 1st, 2023, meaning that players do not have long to wait to get their hands on this expansion - and they can even get an early teaser right now.

Anyone who logs in now ahead of the Titans expansion release can get the Prison of Yogg-Saron card completely for free. This penitentiary for the Old Gods is seeping out some potent magic and can have a completely random effect when you play it on the field.

The announcement of the Hearthstone Titans expansion came alongside two trailers. The first was the TITANS Cinematic trailer, which depicts various characters from the game wielding the power of the Titans.

This came with the TITANS Announcement trailer, a video guide to the new expansion. In it, Hearthstone Game Designers Alex Smith and Edward Goodwin explain the new cards and features included in the Titans expansion.

Hearthstone Titans new cards & keywords

As you might expect, the focus of this expansion is the new Titan cards, and with Each class getting its own Titan in Hearthstone Titans, these are powerful cards that have unique abilities. When they are on the field, Titans have three abilities that you can use. You can use each ability just once in a game, and you can only use one ability per turn in lieu of an attack.

For example, Eonar, the Life-Binder is the Druid Titan. Her three abilities are Spontaneous Growth which fills your hand, Bountiful Harvest which restores your health to full, and Flourish which refreshes your Mana Crystals.

Another new keyword is Forge, a new ability that upgrades cards that use it. Any card that has the Forge keyword can be permanently upgraded by holding the card over your deck and spending two Mana Crystals. This will drastically improve the card, at the cost of some mana.

The Magnetic keyword is making a return as part of the Hearthstone Titans expansion. Cards with this keyword can be used to boost the power of other mech cards, and with this expansion, we are getting even more uses for this mechanic, such as the SP-3Y3-D3R card which grants another mech card Stealth for one turn.

Other interesting new cards include Fate Splitter, which has a Deathrattle ability that adds a copy of the card that destroyed it to your hand. Son of Hodir has a Battlecry ability that shuffles four 8/8 Giants into your deck that are summoned instantly when you draw them.

Hodir himself makes an appearance, and his Battlecry ability bumps your next three minion cards up to 8/8, absolutely stacking your side of the field.

That is everything we currently have on the Hearthstone Titans expansion. For more, check out our World of Warcraft homepage, or check out a previous update in Hearthstone Year of the Wolf.
