Some of the bigger Hardspace Shipbreaker ships will still have their electricity enabled when you begin your shift to start dismantling them, but this adds additional hazards to the job. Electricity can very quickly kill you in this game, and messing around with powered computer terminals, electric wires, power cells, and more without disabling the electricity first can cause it to arc around. This not only damages you, but also damages your ships, reducing your overall potential profit. 

To avoid damaging yourself with removing or being around these components, you will need to remove fuses from fuse boxes. Not all ships will allow you to do this, but some of the larger ones should have anywhere from two to four of them. These can typically be found in the or behind the walls of cabins, and they make a beeping sound. You can also tap your scanner with the T key, change it to the system's view, and then look for green rectangles with yellow squares on them. Once you've located the fuse box, you'll need to remove the fuse.

It's not too challenging to remove the Hardspace Shipbreaker fuses, but it will require some good timing on your part. Essentially, once you locate a fuse box, you will see a handle on it, and some lights that flash red and then white. Only when the lights are white can you interact with the box and remove the fuse, otherwise you will take damage, making it riskier to try again. 

There is a simple pattern to follow for removing the fuses. The lights will flash red three times before flashing white, and once they go white, immediately hit the interact button. After doing this, the light patterns on the other fuse boxes will begin to go faster, so you will need to be more careful with each subsequent one. After each fuse has been removed, you will be able to remove other electrical items without risk of electricity arcing around the ship.
