Fortnite update 28.10 has arrived, bringing an end to the content drought with Super Styles for the Battle Pass as well as the long-awaited Solid Snake skin.

It's been well over a month since the last big Fortnite update, but things are finally starting to look up as a fresh wave of content has arrived in the game with the v28.10 patch. You can find all the new features below.

Fortnite update 28.10 patch notes

Solid Snake sneaks into the Battle Pass

After weeks of waiting, this season's not-so-secret skin Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid games is finally available to unlock! You'll need to complete a series of quests to get his skin and all the matching cosmetics.

If that's not enough Metal Gear Solid drip for your locker, there will also reportedly be a Raiden skin available to purchase from the in-game Item Shop in the future.

Super Styles are now available

Elsewhere in the Battle Pass, you'll finally be able to unlock this season's Super Styles. These are coveted variations that only the most dedicated players will be able to obtain before the season comes to an end.

This season, you can get Expressionist, Prismatic Terazzo, and Glasswork styles for Oscar, Nisha, Montague, Valeria, and Hope. You'll need to reach Level 150 to be able to start unlocking these, so good luck with that!

Get sneaky with EMP Stealth Camo and... Cardboard Boxes?

To celebrate the Solid Snake collaboration, you'll now be able to find the EMP Stealth Camo in the loot pool. This rare Mythic lets you turn invisible temporarily and will unleash an EMP blast when you deactivate it.

You'll also be able to add a Mythic Cardboard Box to your inventory. Throw it down and hide inside of it to get one-up on your opponents. Both of these Mythic items can be purchased from the new Solid Snake NPC.

The Anvil Rocket Launcher is unvaulted

Alongside the two new Mythic items mentioned above, the Anvil Rocket Launcher has returned to the loot pool with this update. You can use this to lock on to vehicles and launch a homing missile for ultimate destruction.

More LEGO styles for skins

With this update, even more skins will be granted LEGO styles, which means they can finally be used in the popular LEGO Fortnite mode.

These include Marvel skins like Scarlet Witch, Thanos, Wolverine, Loki, and the original Spider-Man outfit, as well as The Nightmare Before Christmas star Jack Skellington and even a few original Fortnite characters.

Small map changes

While there aren't any major POI changes with this update, you might notice that things are starting to heat up across the map, as the snow that's previously covered most of the Island is now starting to disappear.

The biggest changes are that Lavish Lair - the popular mansion drop spot that features the Oscar boss battle - and Rebel's Roost are now covered with lush greenery rather than sheets of snow.

Launch Pads in LEGO Fortnite

If you're a fan of LEGO Fortnite, you'll definitely want to check out the new Launch Pad toy. Just like in Battle Royale mode, the Launch Pad will let you launch into the sky before deploying your glider for a safe landing.

Not only is this a great way to get to a higher vantage point and do some exploring, but it's also fun! LEGO Fortnite mode has also received a bunch of small changes and improvements that you can read about here.

New tracks and Trails in Rocket Racing

Two new Advanced tracks have been added to Rocket Racing mode: Lazy Lake 2, which is unlocked in ranked racing once you reach Gold I, and K2 Raceway Deux, which is unlocked in ranked racing at Platinum I.

You can also now add Trails to your cars in Rocket Racing. Every player will have the Drift Smoke Trail in their Locker for free, with more colours available to unlock by completing the Season Zero Tune Up Quests.
