Back in March 2022, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn was revealed with a moody cinematic trailer that introduced us to the game's mysterious world of gunpowder and magic. Flintlock is an action role-playing game from developer A44 Games, that is set to see you challenge the gods and their armies in a tale of vengeance.

It seems like a promising title so far that has the potential to make for a surprise hit, so if you're looking forward to Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, here's everything we know about it so far.

Do we know when Flintlock The Siege Of Dawn will launch?

We currently don't know exactly when Flintlock The Siege of Dawn will launch. A44 originally posed a window of 2023, but that has now been pushed back to 2024. This is a further delay from the original target of 2022.

We will update this article when we have more concrete information about when to expect Flintlock The Siege of Dawn to hit our screens.

The first trailer for the game was revealed back in March 2022. It was a fairly straightforward cinematic trailer that set the mood for the game and introduced some of the key aspects of the game, such as the focus on combat that mixes melee, guns, and magic together. The trailer shows an unnamed woman and her pet, as they walk through the trenches of a battlefield, before running into some undead soldiers.

The game's second trailer and subsequent info dump by the developers gave us a much better look at the game by showcasing actual gameplay and explaining what the experience will be about. This trailer dropped during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase for 2022 and starts with narration from the main character that sets up the major conflict of the game, the people vs the gods. It also explored various locations across the game's open world, highlighting the sandy deserts, gloomy swamps, and a large city that looked to be inspired by architecture from North Africa during late antiquity.

What do we know about Flintlock The Siege Of Dawn gameplay?

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn plays from a third-person perspective and features fast-paced combat that allows you to mix up moves from your arsenal of melee weapons and ranged guns while utilising the magical abilities of your animal companion Enki.

The gameplay reveal trailer showed that Enki's magic had some functions outside combat too - allowing you to fly into the air at one point - and the player character of Nor has her own flair for the acrobatic, allowing her to flip out of the way of attacks. The game is set to feature a large open world with many areas, so Enki seems key to traversing much of the environment quickly.

What platforms will Flintlock The Siege Of Dawn launch on?

Flintlock will launch on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Epic Games Store and Steam platforms for PC. It's also set to join Xbox Game Pass on launch.
