Disney Speedstorm Release Date, Gameplay, Trailers And More

The Disney Speedstorm release date has been kept vague in official announcements. Developer Gameloft has said we can expect the Disney themed racer later this year - summer 2022 to be exact. Disney Speedstorm will follow a similar pattern to the bright racing games of our childhoods but will be using classic Disney characters as opposed to the Mario or Crash Bandicoot-themed roster in similar titles. Players will be able to choose racers from a list of characters and put them to work on a varied option of tracks that have been directly inspired by iconic Disney set pieces and locations. Disney Speedstorm Trailers And Gameplay
The official announcement trailer was showcased on Nintendo Direct 2022, showing a few examples of the highly detailed Disney themed tracks we can expect upon launch. Amongst them is a special Jungle Book track placed high in a canopy of trees and a Beauty and the Beast track that wraps around a giant version of the Beast’s castle.
Gameloft has also shown images of a Hercules inspired Mount Olympus circuit which has 8 different tracks, all named after Greek Gods. A Pirates of the Caribbean track that centres around a bay of pirate ships has also been shown in trailers, with Gameloft announcing that there will be four different driver classes to choose from depending on what type of playstyle suits you. Each character has unique stats and skills like the power ups in Mario Kart, so choosing the perfect racer for you will be key.
