We don't currently know exactly when Disney Speedstorm will launch.

Disney Speedstorm was set to launch in Summer of 2022 across all major platforms and next-gen consoles including PC, Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, but has been pushed to sometime in 2023. The game is available for pre-registration on the developer's website now, which will give you access to updates and sneak peeks and even the chance to be among the first to play the game.

The game will be free-to-play with plans of long-lasting support in the form of seasons and regular content updates. Cross-platform will be supported, and the game will cater to both online multiplayer and split-screen options, similar to Mario Kart.

All Disney Speedstorm trailers and gameplay details

The official announcement trailer was showcased on Nintendo Direct 2022, showing a few examples of the highly detailed Disney-themed tracks we can expect upon launch. Amongst them is a special Jungle Book track placed high in a canopy of trees and a Beauty and the Beast track that wraps around a giant version of the Beast’s castle.

Gameloft has also shown images of a Hercules-inspired Mount Olympus circuit which has 8 different tracks, all named after Greek Gods. A Pirates of the Caribbean track that centres around a bay of pirate ships has also been shown in trailers, with Gameloft announcing that there will be four different driver classes to choose from depending on what type of playstyle suits you. Each character has unique stats and skills like the power-ups in Mario Kart, so choosing the perfect racer for you will be key.
